Online Photovoltaic Solar Training

Our online courses offer a way to learn without having to take weeks off to travel to onsite destination training courses that normally do not cover as much as our online courses do.

The course is taught online with the aid of several online resources and a book called Photovoltaic Systems by Jim Dunlap in partnership with National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee. Also included is a binder and organizers to keep track of any materials you may wish to print out and keep on hand in one handy location for later reference. Included in the text book is a informational CD also with various resources for use with the course and text book.

Our instructor is Roger Coghlan is president of Sun Pirate, Inc., a California Solar Contracting business operating in the North San Francisco Bay Area since 1981. He has a B.A. degree in Environmental Studies and Planning, with a Certificate in Energy Management and Design from Sonoma State University. Roger possesses a California Vocational Education Teaching Credential. He has developed the curriculum and is the instructor for FUNDAMENTALS OF SOLAR WATER HEATING, and PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEM DESIGN & INSTALLATION on-line courses for the on the job renewable energy industry employee.
